Once upon a time last year I wrote a novel called Wealtheow: Her Telling of Beowulf. It's a retelling of the story of Beowulf from the female characters' point of view, specifically, Queen Wealtheow and Grendel's mother.
It has received some favorable reviews: here, and here, and here. It was also a finalist in the National Indie Excellence 2008 Book Awards (New Age Fiction category).
Wealtheow is available at random bookstores along with Davis-Kidd Booksellers in Nashville and on Amazon. It's published by Iroquois Press.
What, you don't remember Beowulf?
I'm currently working on another novel set in the Old Norse world.
